2027 Open Enrollment

2027 Open Enrollment

October 19 – November 1, 2026

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to review your benefits and choose the coverage that works best for you and your family. This is an active enrollment, so you MUST enroll if you want medical benefits in 2027. Your current elections will not roll over.

After Open Enrollment ends, you won’t be able to enroll in benefits until the next Open Enrollment period, unless you have a qualifying event, such as marriage or the birth of a child.

What’s New for 2027?

Amy’s medical benefits have evolved over the past few years. For 2027, we’re taking the next step with three medical plan options, giving you more options to choose from so you can find the coverage that best fits your and your family’s health care needs and budget.

All three plans use the Anthem BCBS network, with Allied Benefit Systems continuing to administer your medical benefits and claims.

Additional updates for 2027 include:

  • Prescription Safety Glasses: VSP vision coverage now includes prescription safety glasses through ProTec, separate from the regular eyewear benefit. Select frames and lenses may be fully covered; other safety frames have a $65 allowance.
  • Life & Disability: Lincoln Financial will replace Prudential as our Life and Disability benefits provider effective January 1, 2027. Lincoln will administer Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Employee Life, and Spouse Life insurance plans. Guaranteed Issue amounts for voluntary life insurance are increasing to $300,000 for employees and $50,000 for spouses, allowing many employees the option to elect higher coverage without Evidence of Insurability (EOI).
  • FSA & HSA: Transamerica will replace iSolved as our FSA administrator effective January 1, 2027. Transamerica will also administer our new Health Savings Account (HSA) for employees enrolled in the HDHP + HSA plan. Employees will have one trusted partner to manage both FSA and HSA benefits.

More Choice Means More Ways to Pay

Each medical plan balances what you pay from your paycheck with what you may pay when you receive care.

  • A richer plan may cost more from your paycheck, but you’ll pay less when you use care.
  • A lower-cost plan may reduce your paycheck deductions, but you’ll take on more of the cost when you need care.

Amy’s three plans now span that full range, from the Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) Plan, to the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plan, to the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) + Health Savings Account (HSA).

Medical Plan Options

This overview of the three plans is designed to help you find the best fit for your health care needs and budget. For more detailed information on each of the plans, see the Medical page.

NEW! EPO Plan

Exclusive Provider Organization

The EPO has the lowest deductible and coinsurance of our three medical plans. Preventive care, including your annual wellness exam, is covered at 100% when you use in-network providers. This plan provides in-network coverage only, and emergency care is covered according to plan provisions. Amy’s Annual Exam Deductible Credit applies.

PPO Plan

Preferred Provider Network (Formerly the Gold Plan)

The Gold Plan is simply getting a new name; your coverage is not changing. You can continue to use in- and out-of-network providers, with $0 in-network office visits and lower costs when you stay in network. Amy’s Annual Exam Deductible Credit applies.

NEW! HDHP + HSA

High Deductible Health Plan + Health Savings Account

The HDHP + HSA has the lowest paycheck cost, but the highest out-of-pocket costs when you actually use care. This plan includes a tax-advantaged HSA to help pay for eligible healthcare expenses, and Amy’s will contribute funds to your HSA. You can also add your own pre-tax contributions up to IRS limits. Preventive care, including annual wellness exams, is covered at 100% when you use in-network providers. This plan also includes employer-paid Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity insurance for added financial protection.

Currently Enrolled in the Platinum Plan?

The Platinum Plan is retiring at the end of 2026. If you’re currently enrolled, be sure to compare all three options before you enroll.

Your Open Enrollment Checklist

  • Mark your calendar for Open Enrollment, October 19 – November 1, 2026.
  • Review the 2027 Benefit Guide and this site to compare medical plan options, costs, and other benefits.
  • Enroll in the UKG App or UKG Benefits Administration beginning October 19.

Not Sure Which Plan Fits?

TouchCare can help at no cost to you. A Personal Health Assistant can compare the new medical plans and consider your doctors, prescriptions and expected health care needs to help you make a confident choice.

These fictional examples show how different health care needs may affect your plan choice. Your actual costs will depend on the care you receive, your providers, and your plan.

There’s no “best” medical plan, but find the one that is right for you. Think about how you and your family use health care, what you want to pay from your paycheck, and how comfortable you are with unexpected costs.

Erin

Why this plan works

  • Erin expects to use more services beyond the doctor’s office, where the deductible and coinsurance apply.
  • The EPO is a good fit because it has the lowest deductible and predictable copays for doctor visits and prescriptions.
  • Erin has already established care with in-network doctors she trusts, so she doesn’t mind having in-network coverage only.
Cost per paycheck: Highest
Deductible: $2,000 / $4,000
Amy’s deductible credit: $750 / $1,500
Amy’s HSA contribution: N/A
FSA Eligible: Yes
Parker

Why this plan works

  • Parker’s family uses health care throughout the year, including an out-of-network therapist for Parker’s child.
  • The PPO is a good option because it covers both in-network and out-of-network care.
  • It also offers a predictable deductible and out-of-pocket costs, as well as manageable monthly premiums.
Cost per paycheck: Mid-range
Deductible: $3,000 / $6,000
Amy’s deductible credit: $750 / $1,500
Amy’s HSA contribution: N/A
FSA Eligible: Yes
Hugo

Why this plan works

  • Hugo primarily uses health care services for preventive care and occasional medical needs.
  • He chooses the HDHP + HSA to keep his paycheck deductions low, receive Amy’s HSA contribution, and save for future health expenses.
  • He’s comfortable paying more when he needs care and likes the added financial protection from Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity insurance, included at no cost.
Cost per paycheck: Lowest
Deductible: $4,000 / $8,000
Amy’s deductible credit: N/A
Amy’s HSA contribution: $1,000 / $2,000
